CUlture Corner

Culture Corner is a dedicated space that explores and embraces different cultures and identities within the Kensington & Chelsea communities. We use this space to educate young people and listen to their views and voices.

We use a variety of digital platforms to capture content including:

  • Zoom for video sessions and recording

  • Physical spaces such as The Hut and local landmarks for filming

  • Social Media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram

  • YouTube for streaming video footage

Culture Corner is part of our Digital Stop Programme, an online youth provision for young people 11-19 years old. This project is currently inactive, awaiting further funding.

Notting Hill Carnival

We created a number of videos to help educate young people about Notting Hill Carnival and encourage engagement in what is a very important part of our community. We worked in partnership with Elimu Mas Academy

We worked with Grenfell Health & Wellbeing Service and young people from the Grenfell community to produce a short video for young people on staying safe on social media.

In the video, scripted by the young people, Randa, aged 16, Agnes, 17, and Safa, 18, talk about why they like social media, but also explore some of its downsides including cyber bullying, grooming and other risks for young people.
